In this clip, Mack speaks with Technology Tools for Today (T3) Conference Producer Joel Bruckenstein just a few months before a major conference milestone of his own: From Jan. 22-25, the T3 conference celebrate its 20th anniversary in Las Vegas, Nevada, carrying forward the vision Bruckenstein and co-producer David Drucker first brought to life two decades ago.
The theme of the special T3 is the past, present and future of the financial services industry, and how emerging technologies and artificial intelligence/machine learning will change the landscape.
At Future Proof 2023, Bruckenstein was tapped into the conversations happening on the ground and found a couple of recurring themes dominating much of the beachside chatter.
"Clearly it's about mass personalization, right? And getting more efficient and being able to serve more clients and serve them better. And obviously, everybody's talking about AI," he said. But you know, in my opinion, it's very early in the game with AI. There's a lot of experimentation going on, there's a few products that have come to market. But even the products that have come to market I think are a fraction of what you're going to see over the next couple of years."
He added that Future Proof's vision is one that stands up once you get a chance to make your way through the hype and take part in it yourself.
"This is very different from the typical industry conference. It's sort of gratifying to see that it's attracting a new demographic that I don't think typically goes to conferences. So I think that's cool," Bruckenstein said. "I just think the whole vibe, it's so different than anything else that the industry has ever done before. And it's kind of refreshing."

Future Proof, an event billed as the first wealth festival, is making its return next summer and dates for Future Proof 2024 have already been announced. The event is slated to return to Huntington Beach Sept. 15-18, 2024.
Future Proof is also expanding in the new year with the addition of Future Proof Retreat, an additional event for wealth management leaders that will take place March 24-27 in Colorado Springs.
